Visual Identity for the 25th Biennial of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana
project goal
Students should focus on the use of the letter
and text as the fundamental visual and com-
munication tools in connection with other pic-
torial elements. The basic instructions: to cre-
ate comprehensive solutions instead of partial
ones. This way the solutions would highlight
how well the students grasped the conceptual
orientation toward typography assignments,
employing all the experience and knowledge
gained at other subjects. The curators of the
graphic arts biennial provided detailed de-
scriptions of content and formal trends in the
modern art graphics, which gave the students a
better insight into modern graphic practice as
a reproduction method. The fi nal result of the
work in both semesters refl ected the maturity of
students in understanding modern conceptual
typographical solutions.
