Slanted Magazine
combines the fields of
typography, design, illustration, and
photography. Each issue of the magazine is
dedicated to a special typographic topic, giving
each issue a unique quality and making it a
collector’s piece. The look and layout of each
publication reflects the typographic topic in a
cutting edge and contemporary way.

Magma Brand Design:
Germany
A really nice typographic
play—once you lay out
consecutive issues, the covers
tell a different story.
Celebrating more extreme
fonts gives Magma the
chance to be more edgy and
expressive with the
typography. In some cases,
the type treatments are so
wrong, they’re right.
In this context, the
typography is almost more
important than the content
itself, so cropping off
sentences is not an issue and
provides us with a greater
feast for the eyes.
