Before deciding to remove a feature, make sure you have all the data. Do you know how many of your customers use that particular feature?

The best approach is to get usage data from your customers. Add a “Send anonymous usage statistics” checkbox to your settings, and ask your users whether they would like to opt in.

If you can’t get hard data, you can ask your users how they use your product. Polling your users can lead to interesting results. You should make sure to give people the option of also sending in a written reply to your poll, detailing exactly how they use your product.
