9. Saving and Publishing
Getting Started
We’ve come to a point in this book where you have learned many ins and outs of InfoPath. However, we haven’t covered a final yet critical part of designing a form: deployment.
Without deployment, you can’t effectively distribute your form. We will look at various ways you can deploy, or publish, your form template. Publishing is the means of preparing a form template so users can fill it out. There are multiple ways to publish, depending on how users access your template:
• Saving to a network location
• Uploading to a SharePoint site
• Sending via e-mail
There are also forms attached to SharePoint lists, discussed in the previous chapter, and attached to SharePoint workflows, discussed in Chapter 10
