Form Projects

General project management techniques apply when working on forms as much as any other web venture. There’s a raft of information available on such techniques, and in all likelihood your organization or team have already selected what works well for them.

Given this, and the fact that I’m certainly no project management expert, we won’t discuss any standard approaches here. What I will share is what I’ve found works well on my form projects with clients, namely:

  • gathering form-specific information
  • assessing metrics of existing forms
  • refraining from copying forms on other sites
  • establishing an overarching, guiding principle for form design.
