This chapter examines WebSphere Integration Developer (WID) and its place in developing business integration applications that fit into Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions. WID is the tool that lets you build composite applications by allowing you to wire components together independent of their implementation and without knowledge of low-level implementation details.
