Design–Tech Résumés, Curriculum Vitae, and Business Cards
Arésumé is a comprehensive document that contains a short career account of a designer or technician. It summarizes individual achievements, lists professional qualifications, and is designed with a target audience in mind. It can be one or two pages long and, when well executed, can be a most powerful networking tool. A curriculum vitae (or CV) is longer and more detailed. Whereas the goal of résumé writing is to be concise, the CV includes more details, such as education; academic background and affiliations; teaching; research experience and publications; and awards, honors, and grants.
