Agency and Getting Paid

This chapter outlines the concepts around creation of agency, agents operating outside the scope of their agency, and the duties of the principal once he learns of an agent exceeding the scope of the agency. The Getting Paid section highlights concerns about getting paid and gives practical advice regarding how larger companies manage their accounts payable. The chapter also outlines methods for getting paid on international accounts such as using letters of credit. Lastly, there is a section that concerns the esoteric way that imminent debtor bankruptcy can interfere with payment for services rendered.
