There is another category of Android applications that can be displayed on the screen within a movable window. I call these programs floaters. Floaters behave just like a window in a modern desktop computing OS. Most can be resized, minimized, and maximized, and some even support multiple instances, allowing multiple windows on the screen at the same time. See the figure here.
