Chapter 9. Team Motivation

Team motivation is exemplified by a team's commitment to activate its three essential resources of time, energy, and intelligence—all of its intelligences: IQ and emotional and social intelligence. Teams tap into motivation via the internal state of each member—the mixture of these states form the drive for the team to execute its plan of action.
