Happiness and optimism are aspects of having a positive mood and are vital parts of emotional and social intelligence. Happiness is based on one's ability to be satisfied with what happens today. It reflects the ability to accept all that is here right now, embrace it, and be deeply grateful. Optimism is the team and team members' hopefulness about future outcomes. It is embodied in part by a team's can-do attitude, an attitude that energizes all successful teams.
