Policy Work as a Context for Project Management

Project management is being progressively applied to a much broader range of activities and situations than the term would initially suggest. Project management is now being used at both organizational and sociopolitical levels. Such projects, usually labeled “soft projects,” involve greater levels of complexity as the range of stakeholders grows and social, behavioral, political, and industrial issues dominate the change agenda.
