Monitoring microservices

After completing this chapter, you will:

  • Understand the core concepts and patterns regarding monitoring and its importance in microservices

  • Be able to configure Azure-oriented monitoring tools, such as Azure Application Insights and Azure Monitor to accomplish this in your own architectures as well

You now have all of the facets of your working architecture in place—congratulations! You have utilized the methods and theory presented in this book to help accomplish this, though the architecture is still technically incomplete without a monitoring framework. A monitoring framework will help us specifically address issues with applications, VMs, Kubernetes clusters, databases, and more.
