Extracting Text from Illustrator

Sometimes you have to get devious in order to extract or convert essence data or metadata. An ideal solution is one that doesn’t require any preset configuration of the tools. You use the application in its normal, out-of-the box installation. Sometimes, you can allow the installation of a plug-in, but you want to avoid any manual intervention, otherwise your solution isn’t a closed-box scenario.
