WAP and mobile browsers are among the first killer applications for the mobile Internet. After years of adoption, most mobile phones today have factory-installed WAP browsers, and WAP data service is readily available from almost all mobile network operators. The pervasiveness of WAP makes it a great channel to deliver content to a large number of users. WAP is also used as a mechanism to provision Java applications, MMS content, and push messages.
