Neo-Urinary Conduit™

Abstract

The Neo-Urinary Conduit™ is a tubular neo-organ composed of native-like urinary tissue mediating efflux of urine from the body in patients requiring urinary diversion. Its development from concept to clinical trials is presented here as an illustrative example highlighting issues common to bioprocess development of novel TE/RM products based on cell/biomaterial composite constructs.
