Chapter 21 Epilogue: The 2008–16 Reincarnation
We thought we had finished our story at the end of the last chapter. We went to visit DHL in Bonn, to show them what we had done. In doing so, we were invited to their summer party and so had an opportunity to talk to most of the managers and a great many employees. The next day we presented the book to a group of DHL executives. Everyone was asked to read it and comment. In the end, we found that they liked it and gave us great feedback and even more stories. It is clear that DHL today has the enthusiasm and drive that beat the odds back then and is doing the same today, but with the benefit and wisdom of those who came before.
