The suggestions in this appendix may be useful if you desire to improve your management competency in the primary skill areas identified for each quadrant in Figure 6.1. The list is designed to provide thought starters or a supplement to the items on the management skills survey itself. These lists are not intended to be comprehensive. Only one or two of the suggestions on the list may be relevant to your job, but they may stimulate your thinking to think of other ideas. As you form your personal improvement plan, find ways to implement these suggestions in your managerial role.
