So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
»Equivalents« war ein anderes, groß angelegtes Projekt, das Stieglitz 1925 begann. Neun Jahre lang fotografierte er über 220 Bilder von Wolken. Bei diesen Bildern handelt es sich im Wesentlichen um Studien zur Abstraktion, denn die meisten dieser Fotografien enthalten keinen Hinweis auf einen Horizont oder andere Objekte. Es sind allesamt Bilder von Wolken vor dem Hintergrund des Himmels. Dieses Motiv mag nach heutigen Maßstäben einfach erscheinen, aber in den späten 1920er-Jahren waren diese Bilder ziemlich bahnbrechend. Zu jener Zeit waren fotografische Emulsionen weitgehend orthochromatisch.
