I have found that Photoshop is ideal to create costume renderings, because as a designer I can draw, paint, and do collages, as well as manipulate digital images, to express how I visualize each character in costume. Photoshop also allows me to give each costume piece or accessory item that is part of a costume design its own layer (labeled as such).
