Many areas of the media have been transformed through digitisation. Photography was one of the earliest and most startling. This chapter investigates the relationship between the digital single lens reflex camera (DSLR) and the prosumer (the professional consumer). Now that the quality of hardware has improved and the amateur has access to it, what is the future for the professional photographer?
