Copyright and couture: the Comme il Faut experience

Abstract:

Tango is serviced by a range of businesses. Yet Comme il Faut remains the most famous shoe designer for the dance. However, how the company has managed and negotiated the relationship between product and consumer is unusual. Controlling its intellectual property while expanding its business, this study of Comme il Faut enables researchers to track the complex relationship between dancers, dancing and e-commerce.
