6	The Traditional Filmmaking Postproduction Process

 

Digital filmmaking techniques are changing the methods by which the laboratory prepares film for the postproduction process. In later chapters, we will explore in depth the areas of digital, nonlinear editing for picture and sound, digital video compression, and the transmission of a scene from one editing system to a viewing station thousands of miles away.
