Abstract
The rapid increase of Internet of Thing (IoT) devices across the globe has added countless benefits in several aspects like health, sports, homes, market, and cities. Heterogeneous devices can be located and recognized using inexpensive sensors which collect big data on the environment they are in and share it across the internet via wired or wireless connections. Cybercriminals have taken advantage of this development as they are aware of the security breaches on IoT devices and cloud servers and the complications of investigation as well. They are aware of the huge amount of raw data that IoT devices generate in an IoT environment and how difficult it makes the investigators job. The IoT technology has even increased a burden in the digital forensics field as the investigator’s find more challenges in performing data acquisition from these devices. This chapter will present the challenges in IoT forensics and suggests the solutions in dealing with those challenges.
