Introduction

Of all the books that I have read dealing with digital forensics, coverage of psychology, ethics, and culture seems to be completely overlooked. As I work on the cases, it becomes clear to me that these areas are the central aspects of digital forensic investigations. What I want to cover in this chapter would be not only the psychological aspects of the person(s) being investigated but also the psychological aspects on the investigator. An investigator faces many ethical questions, many of which present themselves later on in the examination.
