Abstract
This chapter addresses the issues related to risk management and looks at critical success factors and the components of information security risk. It chapter provides an information security risk management framework, describing the stages of the framework. It addresses the subject of risk assessment and risk management. It also covers the need for an information security management system and discusses a number of the roles, responsibilities, and authorities within the laboratory. It also addresses the requirements for communication and consultation and the classification of information.
