Quality in the Forensic Laboratory

Abstract

This chapter examines the issues that have to be addressed in order to achieve and maintain quality standards in the Forensic Laboratory. The chapter looks at the management requirements, discusses ISO 9001, and addresses the Quality Management System that will be required within the Laboratory. The chapter looks at all aspects of the business of the Forensic Laboratory from management, to best practice, to the management of the whole process of service delivery within the Laboratory.
