1. A Forensic Laboratory employee identifies a need for a change.

2. They contact their manager to informally discuss the change. The Manager is designated the Requestor.

3. The Requestor contacts the Forensic Laboratory Service Desk and outlines the requirements of the change.

4. The Forensic Laboratory Service Desk:

• checks whether the requested change is on the Standard Change list. If so the Standard Change Management Process is followed. If the change is not listed, the Normal Change process continues;

• advises the Requestor of the appropriate procedure required to progress the change.

5. The Requestor completes the RfC process, the following information must be included, together with an initial impact assessment:
