CHAPTER 7Daniel Abadie: Argentina
Daniel Abadie helps public and private organizations to adapt to the internet era.
With twelve years of experience in the public sector, Daniel was the director of Electronic Government of the City of Buenos Aires (2007–2015) and appointed Undersecretary of Digital Government of Argentina (2015–2019), developing and transforming digital services for citizens.
Dan now works with organizations on the development of their digital strategies and the delivery of products (mobile applications, virtual assistants or chatbots, websites) aimed to improve services, increase customers, and make processes more efficient. In January 2020, he joined Public Digital, a London-based consultancy specialized in digital transformation, to lead the work in Latin America and the Caribbean region.
In 2019, Daniel was chosen by Apolitical as one of the twenty most influential people in digital government in the world and won a Webby Award in the health category.
Daniel is one of the most thoughtful colleagues I ever met. He is deeply self-aware and introspective on how to do and how to be better all the time.
