Windows 8.1: Some people love it, and some people hate it. But whatever your opinion, it’s here to stay — at least until the next version of Windows is released.
Windows 8.1 is a hybrid. It’s both a desktop operating system and a tablet, touchscreen-enabled operating system. If you install it on a touchscreen notebook computer, you can tap and drag your way through it just like on a tablet. If you install it on a desktop, you can navigate it with a mouse and keyboard.
No matter how you use Windows 8.1, there are some ways to make it easier and more efficient to use. In this chapter, I outline some of my favorite tips for getting the most out of Windows 8.1.
