The field of illustration is a very interesting one, and it can use the materials that we have covered thus far. Illustrators tend to be known by their particular style in a specific medium. Illustrators might be recognized for their expertise, for example, in woodcut or airbrush. Illustrations are used in projects as diverse as movie posters, cereal boxes, greeting cards, and magazine articles.
Since we have already covered some basic art mediums, we will concentrate in this chapter on other techniques that might be used for illustrative purposes.
