The Coloring Book of Digital Painting: Sketching
Now that we have covered the related areas of photographic retouching of images, let’s get back into the digital painting workflow used in Painter, one of which is a “sketch and paint” workflow. This workflow is a lot more common than you’d think. In animated films and television, there are artists who create the basic cel character outline and other “Ink & Paint” artists who fill that outline in with color and shading. This is also true in the comic book industry and probably in the casual game industry, both multibillion dollar industries.
