Introduction

The word photography is derived from Greek roots phos (light) and graphy (to draw or paint). Simply stated, photography is drawing or painting with light. In this assignment, students are given literal understanding of the craft as they use glow sticks to create original light drawings.

Learning Targets

  • To understand the etymology of the word photography.
  • To demonstrate effective use of the exposure triangle, i.e. the interplay of aperture, shutter, and ISO for correct exposure.
