When working in Mudbox, you will need to work with a polygonal model. Polygonal models can be the template models offered in Mudbox or models that have been created in other three-dimensional (3D) modeling programs such as 3ds Max, Maya, Carrara, Houdini, or Blender. In the “Scanning” section of this chapter, we will explore alternative methods of bringing models into Mudbox.
