When establishing a digital signage network, it is crucial to choose a system-suitable solution for your content management, distribution, and networking.
In this chapter, we will summarize operational aspects of the various alternatives. We will start with an analysis of traffic patterns for the various ways of distribution. Also, we will review some more general operational aspects of digital signage systems, as well as alternative technologies to consider.
