Photographing landscapes is a fun and rewarding activity. You get to go out where the scenery is! In the process, you work with, and sometimes around, the weather, sunlight, and other environmental factors that you often have no control over. It’s a great feeling when you position yourself at the right place at the right time and capture a magnificent scene with your digital SLR.

I know I won’t have to twist your arm when I suggest that you take photography trips to all sorts of places, near and far. Feel free to shoot at different times, but the golden hour, which is the hour after sunrise and before sunset, is when the light is the most appealing. Over time, be sure to mix things up.
