Abstract

This chapter presents a pioneering solution for enhancing vehicle sensing and transportation monitoring by integrating Blockchain technology into Internet of Things (IoT) platforms. Leveraging the inherent strengths of Blockchain, the proposed system ensures data integrity, security, and transparency in the context of vehicle-related information. Through decentralized consensus mechanisms, tamper-resistant records are maintained fostering trust and accountability in the sharing of critical transportation data. The synergy of Blockchain and IoT offers a robust foundation for optimizing traffic management, improving safety, and cultivating a more efficient and secure transportation ecosystem. This research contributes to the evolution of intelligent transportation systems by addressing key challenges through the innovative integration of Blockchain and IoT technologies.
