2: Cloud and IoT technologies
Abstract
In this chapter we introduce the origins of cloud and IoT technologies. We also provide how such technologies evolved and created new business models (such as software as a service). We also introduce cloud and edge computing. Several examples of cloud usages and edge computing are provided.
