10: Digital twin development and deployment for a wind turbine
Abstract
This chapter guides the reader in developing a Digital Twin model for a wind turbine which can be used to perform Off-Board Diagnostics of a physical wind-turbine with the same specifications. This developed model is deployed on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud which will interact with the hardware prototype of the wind turbine. The hardware prototype used in this case is a DC Motor Controller Real Time hardware. This model can be used to perform Off-Board Diagnostics (Off-BD) on the rotational velocity of the motor such that for a given wind speed input, an expected motor speed should be received.
