This book is concerned with UV and IR photography, not digital image processing – there are far better and more comprehensive books available, and a couple are listed in the Resources section at the end of this book. However, most, if not all images produced by digital cameras will require some form of image processing, and it was felt that a working knowledge of image processing and its potential would be useful, particularly that related to UV and IR images, which are often very different in character from conventional images.
