When I was living in Paris, I loved meeting new people—partly because I just love meeting people. My fascination with people is partly why I have devoted my career to the field of personal branding. I particularly loved meeting new people in France because when you’re introduced to someone new, their response is “Enchanté.” Of course, translated into English, it means “nice to meet you” (literally, “I’m enchanted by you”) but the word enchanté is so much more powerful than that. The English word enchanted, according to Dictionary.com, means “delighted to a high degree.”
