When someone joins the business or is still relatively new, they hope the business will work, they’ll win a free trip, or they’ll qualify for a bonus car.

When they get “over the line,” that hope has transformed into belief. Now they don’t hope the business will work or hope they will be successful. They know they will become successful. Because they have developed rock-solid belief.

How do you get your people over that line so they transition from hope to belief and become strong, productive members of your team? Allow me to share seven elements that I believe are necessary for the process. These aren’t really skills. Some are habits. Some simply reflect a mindset. And some are techniques.

Each of these elements serves two purposes: making you a stronger leader and building belief in the people who follow you. Let’s start with the list, then study each in greater detail.
