This Disability‐Friendly blueprint is both a vision of the future and a framework to establish a shared understanding of all the factors that shape workplaces, physical or virtual, around the world.
All organizations have a great responsibility to build accessibility and inclusion into the design and implementation of equitable workplaces. All people should feel enabled and encouraged to bring their “whole” selves to safe, captivating places where they can be most productive and authentic.
The workplace is in a rapid state of transformation. Employees desire a stronger sense of belonging after so much time in isolation during the COVID‐19 pandemic. They want to be productively engaged. Building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is a shared responsibility and one in which we must all make continued progress.
For the more than 1.3 billion persons with disabilities around the world, an inclusive workplace offers the opportunity to contribute our talents, passions, and perspectives to accomplishing the important business and mission goals of organizations and companies and to achieve greater personal and family economic security.
