Kip Hollister grew up in Burlington, Vermont, daughter of a minister, and the fourth of five children. Today she is the founder and CEO of Hollister, a full-service staffing firm with a network of 15,000 businesses and 60,000 individuals. Early in life, Kip Hollister thought she would be a therapist. She received a degree in sociology with a minor in psychology. “I was all about self-improvement, self-introspection, listening, and caring for other people, so it was that or social work,” she recalls.
