Henry Ford—Innovation for the Common Man

Henry Ford founded Ford Motor Company in 1903, with 11 other investors and $28,000 in capital. Born on a farm near Dearborn, Michigan, his dream was to build an automobile for the “common man.” Ford’s genius was realizing that with the right techniques, he could mass-produce cars. As the son of a farmer, he knew that making something that was cheap, reliable, and easy to maintain was just common sense.
