Emotional awareness

‘Emotional awareness is the ability to recognise our own emotions as well as those emotions of the people around us. Emotions are those incredibly complex feelings that, according to some theories, “are the states that result in physical and psychological changes that influence our behaviours”.’

Many people experience what can be referred to as an amygdala hijack when faced with different types of internal or even external conflict, which can then be the cause of fear, anxiety or even stress.
