Philosophers have endeavoured to define what knowledge is precisely for many centuries. So, before we even begin to examine our awareness of this, from a perspective on emotional intelligence, let us first recall, in a brief summary, how Plato described knowledge, and whose doctrine is most likely to be as relevant today as it was in around 340 BC.
Plato described knowledge as a justified, true belief. In other words, to know something, it is justified as accurate. In contrast, a belief without proper justification or proof is merely a supposition.
