To explore the use of minimum resources to light a show with demanding requirements.
This final project is one which is difficult to attempt without access to painted cloths and gauzes, preferably flown but possibly tracked. Nevertheless it has been included as an example of a real situation which demonstrates what has to be achieved (and can be achieved) with minimum resources if the performance is to take place.
The project is based on a performance of Handel’s opera Teseo at the Siena Festival in 1985. The production toured scenery, cast and orchestra but adapted its lighting plot to the available equipment. The schedule was:
