Power quality is characterized by stable nominal AC voltage and frequency within specified tolerances, free from voltage flicker, voltage sags or dips, harmonics, frequency variations, phase angle variations etc. With high connection densities of SPV systems to be implemented in distribution networks, low irradiance can lead to poor power quality, causing failure of sensitive electric bulbs, electronic equipment such as TVs, washing machines, ACs, microwaves, computers etc, or reduce their life.
