I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Looking for Four-Leaf Clovers
I like listening to NPR for the stories about average people. The other day, the story was about a woman who seemed to have a knack for finding four-leaf clovers. The woman was very pleasant and unassuming. I would probably have forgotten all about this story except, toward the end of the interview, she said the most amazing thing. She said, “They say four leaf clovers are hard to find, but I have noticed that most people are not looking for four-leaf clovers.” This seemed quite simple but very profound.
People often tell me they enjoy my simple stories, but I feel as though I am merely retelling things I have seen. Some even go as far as to tell me I have a gift, which always makes me smile. I am always flattered, but I know simply retelling the experiences is not the gift. The real gift is my family and friends. They have filled my life with happiness, great experiences, and laughs. All I do is try to make sure I am paying attention, and I just simply write down what I have seen. I guess I just happened to be looking for four-leaf clovers.
I hope my stories make people happy and sometimes even shed a tear. Most importantly, I hope to help people see the many four-leaf covers in their lives. Whether it be a funny story about your son, your daughter's smile, or your spouse's warm hand, it is the simple pleasure of living life. We should all spend more time enjoying the gift of a four-leaf clover. ...
